We’ve been in Texas about 4 weeks and the weather has been, for the most part, a beautiful spring. Our “home base” is in Georgetown, right on the edge of the Hill Country so we have been out enjoying this beautiful part of Texas!
April in Texas
For those who are not familiar with Texas, April is the best month, in my opinion. If there has been rain (which there was) the grass turns green and the wildflowers are spectacular in the Hill Country.
On May 20th we head out to Sedalia Missouri. We have never been to this state and we will make a stop in Branson Missouri to meet up with some “RV” friends. The Escapees is the largest RV club in the nation and we belong it. They are having their annual, weeklong RV Escapade in Sedalia. I write nutrition articles for their magazine and was invited to speak on “healthy eating on the road”. I’m honored and excited to talk about taking care of ourselves while we travel. This community is primarily seniors, health is their number one priority so they can continue to travel and live the life that they love!
Back to Colorado
As we head into the summer months we will be going back up into Colorado and plan on “wandering” for a month. We have so many places we still want to explore in Colorado so we are going to take our time. From there we are headed up into Wyoming and we will spend a month there as well. Wyoming is a very unique state with mountains, deserts, dinosaur digs, and of course the Grand Tetons. We visited those four years ago and want to go again, they are absolutely stunning!
Genetics an Exploding Arena
If you have followed us on Facebook you will see that I’ve been busy attending more Genetic conferences here in Austin. This is an exploding arena with so much exciting, new information coming out all the time. I am keeping abreast of it all through these conferences! Stay tuned as I share the latest panels we can genetically test you for. We can “customize” your genetic testing and this lowers the price! We will do this by testing fewer genes at once. Super excited about this! The role this plays in long-term health is significant. What if you knew your health risks ahead of time and could be “proactive” in preventing them? That is the power of genetic testing! Want to learn more about genetic testing? Head on over to my genetic website to learn more……… www.chrismckeecnc.com
It’s warming up in Texas, low 80’s, so more salads are on the menu! Check out my recipes for some of my favorite Summer Salads!
