Super Bowl Snacks
Super Bowl Sunday is almost here! And whether you watch it, are asked to bring something to share or don’t care about it, these are some great snack ideas that won’t kill your good intentions!
Are there Healthy Snacks?
Yes, you can make healthy snacks and one of my favorite is White Bean Dip. It’s a little “garlicky” and can be eaten with a piece of pita bread. You can also eat it with pita chips and if your REALLY being good sliced veggies. It makes a nice big bowl full and keeps in the fridge for awhile. The leftovers make a wonderful spread on a leaf of lettuce and topped with Avocado, slivered red peppers and sunflower seeds as a quick no bread sandwich for lunch!
Spinach Artichoke Dip usually has you thinking “fat disaster”! Not this one. You can make it using all low-fat cheeses, and it cooks up all hot and melty like the real stuff, and tastes super yummy with homemade pita chips! A snack you CAN attack! and (You may want to double the recipe because I can guarantee you it will disappear fast!)
Want to “skip the meat” but still grill? You’ve got to try this grilled Eggplant with Mozzarella and Basil Sauce. It’s quick and very filling (in fact the guys might steal it so watch out!). Bring a big green salad with lot’s of fresh veggies and those temptations for the salty, chemical laden “food like substances” won’t even tempt you!
