Fourteen months ago we drove away from our “sticks and bricks” house in our RV and we have been on the road since. Having no time frame in mind for how long we would do this, we just decided to explore the Western states and see if we liked it.

Your brain’s racing, you can’t relax, and you stare at the clock. It’s already an hour past when you should be asleep. You’ve got a big day ahead and need to get enough sleep. You rummage around in your nightstand or head to the bathroom medicine cabinet and you pop a few sleeping pills.
Do you remember that John Denver song? Ed and I sang that song while we crossed into Colorado 46 years ago on our first road trip. One of the things that attracted us to each other was the love of mountains, camping and fishing.
