Dietary changes can be stressful so this may not be the right time for you. Are you pregnant? Eating clean is SUPER important when you are pregnant but not the right time for a detox. Are you training for an athletic event? This may or may not be a good time but if you feel you need to “reset” then yes, join us!

I’ve been in the nutrition field for over thirty years and yet every year during the Fall I feel like doing a detox. We are heading into the cold and flu season and I love giving my immune system a jump start. The weather is cooling and making some immune building soups just makes me “feel” good! I’m always amazed by what happens in the body when we give it very specific tools it desires to support the detoxification pathways and build the immune system. My body is ready for a reset at this time of year, how about you?
You can look forward to learning how to identify the foods that YOU should avoid (we are all unique). You will also learn which foods specifically support your liver detoxification pathways and how you can incorporate them into your diet all year long. Sleep is so underrated in order to have a healthy immune system and yet I hear from clients all the time how they don’t’ sleep well. I’ll show you ways to improve sleep and help you to identify an item in your bedroom that could be interrupting sleep and depressing your immune system.
- Will I be eating “regular” food? Yes, but we do encourage Organic during the 10 days.
- Will I have to shop at “specialty” shops? NO, all the suggested foods are available at most grocery stores that have great produce and a natural foods section.
- Do I have to give up coffee? NO, we just ask that you go Organic during the 10 days as coffee and tea are heavily sprayed with pesticides.
- Can I continue to take my regular supplements? YES! I do make some suggestions for additional supplements to support your body during the 10 days if you choose to use them.
- Should I check with my doctor first? MAYBE, because we have found some medications have to be REDUCED such as blood sugar meds and blood pressure meds.
- Can I eat out? Maybe… if you eat at restaurants that serve “clean” foods you should be fine but the best thing would be to eat at home.
I come to the field of nutrition for personal reasons. My husband was diagnosed with third stage cancer at the age of 38. After two years of traditional Western medicine treatments he was a mess. That’s when we decided to seek out a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. The changes that happened in his body where amazing!
Yes, he’s still with us today at 74 years old and he’s an inspiration to all of us! This inspired me so much I went back to school to become a Nutritionist.
